The EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program is a U.S. immigration program created by Congress in 1990. It allows eligible foreign nationals to seek U.S. permanent residency by making a qualifying investment in a U.S. business that results in job creation, subject to U.S. immigration laws and review by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
Why the EB-5 Program Exists
The purpose of the EB-5 program is to:
-
Encourage foreign investment in the U.S. economy
-
Support job creation for U.S. workers
-
Promote economic development, particularly in targeted areas
This is a government policy tool - not a private investment program.
What Makes an Investment "EB-5 Eligible"
For an investment to qualify under the EB-5 program, it must generally:
-
Be made into a U.S. commercial enterprise
-
Be at risk for the purpose of generating a return
-
Lead to the creation of qualifying U.S. jobs
-
Comply with USCIS regulations and documentation requirements
EB5 Shop does not determine eligibility or compliance.
